How to Play
Objective
Play cards to build up points in your Yard, and sway Neighbors for extra points. When the last Neighbor is swayed, the player with the most points wins.

Setup

Put a Home , aGarage , aPiggy Bank , and a 3×3 grid ofDirt (theirYard ) in front of each player.

Give each player a Rake , aToolbox , and aWatering Can (theTool cards marked with ★'s) as their starting hand.

Shuffle the Store Deck , and put the top 5 cards face-up next to it (theStore ).

Shuffle the Neighbor Deck , and put the top 5 cards face-up next to it (the unswayedNeighbor ).

Each player starts with 0 in theirPiggy Bank .
Your Turn
-
Do all Turn Start actions in yourYard (in any order).
-
Flip your Home /Away card to eitherHome orAway (you always choose which side you want face-up).
If you went from Away toHome , pick up all cards from yourGarage and put them into your hand.

Do any actions from the face-up side of your Home /Away card (no more than once each and in any order).

Do all Turn End actions in yourYard (in any order).
Working
Buying Cards

Select a card from the Store and pay its (in the card's upper right corner) from yourPiggy Bank .

Put that card facedown on your Garage .

Restock the Store . (Reveal the top card of theStore Deck and add it to theStore .)
When a card leaves the
Store for any reason, restock.When you reveal an
Event , immediately follow its instructions.
Playing Cards

Put the card face-up on top of a Pile that has moreLandscape than cards on it. (Don't count thePile as a card.)
You can ignore this restriction when you're playing a Pest or aTool .
Only play a card in another person's
Yard when they'reAway . -
The owner of the Yard where the card was played immediately does anyPlay action on the card.
You always do the actions on cards in your
Yard , even when another person played the card. -
Pick up any Tool that you played and put them facedown on yourGarage .
Non-
Tool cards stay on thePile where they were played.
Swaying Neighbors

If the Neighbor has aCriteria , yourYard must contain everything listed.
Criteria is checked only at this step. TheNeighbor remains swayed even if cards in yourYard later change. -
If the Neighbor has aBribe , you must complete theBribe in full.

Put the Neighbor in front of you ("in your Sway").Do not restock after swaying a
Neighbor .The
Neighbor in your Sway aren't in yourYard .You can't sway a
Neighbor that's already in another person's sway.
Trashing Cards

To trash a card, put it on top of the Trash pile face-up.
Cards in the
Trash aren't part of anyone'sYard or theStore .
